Hi, I’m Maria Melanson, and custom window valances are my second career—and my creative home.

After years in my first profession (engineering), I found myself craving something more hands-on, more expressive, and more personal. Sewing and design had always been part of my life. What began as a creative outlet quickly grew into a passion for designing custom window valances that bring warmth, personality, and polish to a space.

I love the intersection of function and beauty—how the right fabric, shape, and detail can completely change the feel of a room. Every valance I create is thoughtfully designed and carefully crafted, with close attention to proportion, texture, and the unique character of each home. No two windows (or people) are the same, and that’s what makes this work so rewarding.
